Description:
(Former Australian missionary who was a victim of anti-Christian violence) Graham Staines, an Australian Christian missionary, dedicated his life to providing care and support to individuals affected by leprosy and living in poverty in Odisha, India. He collaborated with the "Mayurbhanj Leprosy Home" evangelical missionary organization starting in 1965. Staines concentrated on assisting tribal communities in the region and was recognized for his compassionate service. Although some Hindu groups accused him of forced conversions, there was no evidence to substantiate these allegations. Following his unfortunate passing, Staines's widow, Gladys, carried on his work.
