(Diplomat) Subrahmanyam Jaishankar is an accomplished Indian diplomat and politician with a distinguished career in the Indian Foreign Service. He has held various diplomatic positions in India and overseas, including serving as High Commissioner to Singapore and Ambassador to the Czech Republic, China, and the US. Jaishankar was instrumental in negotiating the Indo-US civilian nuclear agreement. Following retirement, he worked at Tata Sons before being appointed as the Minister of External Affairs of India, making him the second diplomat to assume this role.
