(Retired German Foil Fencer) Anja Fichtel-Mauritz is a retired German foil fencer known for her remarkable achievements. She emerged victorious in individual and team events at the 1988 Summer Olympics, as well as securing the individual title at the World Championships in 1986 and 1990. Additionally, as part of the German national team, she triumphed in the World Championships in 1985, 1989, and 1993. Fichtel also held the German champion title from 1986 to 1996 and was the team competition runner-up at the 1992 Summer Olympics.
