Klaus Balkenhol

Klaus Balkenhol is a well-known German equestrian who has had a successful career in dressage. He won Olympic gold in team dressage at both the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona and the 1996 Olympics. Besides his achievements in competition, Balkenhol is also an accomplished author, having written several books on dressage. He is a strong advocate against the use of rollkur and collaborates with Xenophon and Philippe Karl in this effort. Balkenhol has a background as a mounted policeman and has also coached the U.S. Olympic equestrian team. Currently, he is training Olympic equestrian Laura Bechtolsheimer.
