(American Snowboarder) Todd Richards, a snowboarder from Paxton, Massachusetts, is a trailblazer in the sport, credited with introducing a "skate style" influence. With roots in East Coast skateboarding, he successfully transitioned to snowboarding, achieving multiple US Open halfpipe titles, X Games gold medals, and World Championship victories. Richards was a member of the 1998 US Olympic Halfpipe Team and later became a commentator for NBC's Olympic Games coverage. He has also authored an autobiography, created webisodes for Quiksilver, and was the focus of a documentary. In addition, Richards made an appearance in the film Out Cold as a former professional snowboarder.
