André the Giant was a French professional wrestler and actor. He was associated with the ‘World Wrestling Federation’ (WWF), for many years before he passed away due to heart failure. He was born and raised in Molien and showed signs of gigantism very early in his life. Much before he attained teenage, he was already over six feet tall. He was born into a poor rural French family and worked on his family farm as a kid. Although he was good in academics, it did not interest him much, as all he wished to do in life was to work on the farms. At the age of 17, André moved to Paris for better career opportunities. Soon, he was introduced to professional wrestling by a promoter who thought André’s height would be of great benefit to him in the wrestling arena. In the early 1970s, he joined the ’WWF,’ and over time, he became one of the most respected wrestlers in the organization. His feud with Hulk Hogan was one of the longest and most popular feuds ever witnessed inside the ring. André also appeared in several films over the years.
