Douglas Norman Harvey, a Canadian professional hockey defenceman, is regarded as one of the greatest defenders in NHL history. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1973 and was honored as one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players in 2017. Harvey won the James Norris Memorial Trophy as the best defenceman seven times, and was named to the end of season NHL All-Star team as a First All-Star 10 times. He played for various teams, notably the Montreal Canadiens, and also served as a player-coach for the Rangers and the Kansas City Blues. Harvey achieved Stanley Cup victories six times with the Canadiens and participated in the Finals on five additional occasions.
