(Ice hockey player) Jacques Lemaire is a Canadian former ice hockey forward known for his successful NHL career with the Montreal Canadiens, where he won eight Stanley Cup championships. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1984, he was also named one of the "100 Greatest NHL Players" in 2017. Lemaire later transitioned to coaching and led teams such as the Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, and Minnesota Wild. He guided the Devils to their first Stanley Cup in 1994-95 and currently holds a special assignment coaching role with the New York Islanders.
