(American Professional Skateboarder) Mark Gonzales, also known as "Gonz" and "the Godfather," is an influential American professional skateboarder and artist. Credited as a pioneer in modern street skating, he is recognized for his pioneering work in street-only skateboarding alongside Natas Kaupas. Gonzales and Kaupas are known for their early boardslides on handrails. In December 2011, Transworld Skateboarding magazine named Gonzales the "Most Influential Skateboarder of All Time," surpassing Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen.
