He captained France in the 2011 Rugby World Cup final, earning the Man of the Match title despite the team's loss. Dusautoir was recognized as the World Rugby Player of the Year in 2011 and holds the record for most tackles in an international rugby game. He was inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame in 2023.
