Wimpy, also known as Luther Clement Lassiter Jr., was a highly accomplished American pool player from Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He excelled in nine-ball and won seven world pocket billiard championships along with several other titles during his career. Lassiter is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the sport's history and has been inducted into prestigious institutions such as the Billiard Congress of America's Hall of Fame and the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame. His exceptional talent earned him a top 10 ranking in the Billiards Digest 50 Greatest Players of the Century.
