Gagan Ajit Singh, an Indian former field hockey player, excelled as a forward during his successful career. He led the India national under-21 team to victory at the 2001 Junior World Cup as captain. Making his senior national debut in 1997, Singh represented India at the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics. Renowned for his goal-scoring abilities, he emerged as India's top-scorer at the 2004 Olympics. Singh honed his skills at the Government Arts and Sports College in Jalandhar and was associated with New Delhi's Air India Hockey Academy.
