Attilio Bettega

Attilio Bettega, an Italian rally driver, started his career with Fiat and later joined the Lancia team in 1982. He achieved four podium finishes in World Rally Championship events during his time with Lancia, including a second-place finish at the 1984 Rallye Sanremo. Tragically, Bettega lost his life in a fatal crash during the 1985 Tour de Corse, alongside his former teammate Henri Toivonen. Their deaths played a significant role in the eventual ban on Group B cars due to safety concerns.
