Michele Alboreto was a notable Italian racing driver who excelled in Formula One and sports car racing. Starting his motorsport journey in the 1970s, he moved up from Formula Monza to Formula Three before making his Formula One debut with the Tyrrell team. Throughout his F1 career, Alboreto secured victories with Ferrari and other teams, and was a contender for the championship in 1985. Following his time in Formula One, he achieved success in sportscars and the American IndyCar series before tragically passing away in a testing accident in 2001.
