Sir Clive Hubert Lloyd is a Guyanese-British former cricketer known for his exceptional leadership as the captain of the West Indies cricket team. He is highly esteemed as one of the greatest captains in the sport's history. Lloyd led the West Indies to victory in the 1975 and 1979 World Cups and was recognized as a Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1971. Under his captaincy, the West Indies team achieved significant success in Test matches. Lloyd scored 7,515 runs at the Test level and was honored with induction into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame in 2009.
