(American Former Competition Swimmer, Two-Time Olympic Champion, and Former World Record-Holder) Tom Dolan is a retired American swimmer who achieved great success in his career. He won two Olympic gold medals in the 400-meter individual medley at the 1996 and 2000 Games. Dolan also held world records in swimming and won multiple NCAA national championships while swimming for the University of Michigan. He has been recognized for his accomplishments by being inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame and the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. Today, Dolan shares his expertise by operating the Tom Dolan Swim School in Northern Virginia, where he teaches swimming skills to people of all ages.
