Paolo Bettini, a retired Italian road racing cyclist, was renowned for his exceptional skills in classics races. Throughout his career, he achieved great success by winning prestigious events such as Liège–Bastogne–Liège, Milan–San Remo, and the Giro di Lombardia. Bettini also secured gold medals in the 2004 Athens Olympics road race and the 2006 and 2007 World Road Race Championships.
