Bob Foster was a renowned American professional boxer who competed in the light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions. In 1968, he claimed the world light heavyweight title by defeating Dick Tiger and went on to defend it successfully 14 times against 13 different opponents. Throughout his career, Foster faced notable boxers such as Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali, although he was knocked out by both. He was known for his impressive punching power and was honored by being included in Ring's list of 100 Greatest Punchers of all time. In recognition of his achievements, Foster was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990.
