He held the undisputed world heavyweight championship in 1992 and won a silver medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics. Bowe became a two-time world heavyweight champion and held titles from multiple organizations. He vacated a title in protest and later defeated Evander Holyfield in a rematch. Bowe retired after controversial fights with Andrew Golota but made comebacks in 2004 and 2008. He is regarded as one of the greatest heavyweights of all time and was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2015.
