Georgy Apollonovich Gapon was a Russian Orthodox priest and working-class leader who played a significant role in the 1905 Russian Revolution. He rose to prominence among the working class and organized peaceful protests, including the tragic Bloody Sunday incident where many demonstrators were killed by the Imperial Russian Army.
