(Rock musician) Paul Kantner was a prominent figure in the American rock music scene, recognized for his involvement as a co-founder, rhythm guitarist, and secondary vocalist of Jefferson Airplane, a notable psychedelic rock band. He played a pivotal role in guiding Jefferson Airplane during its successful late-1960s era and later collaborated with Bay Area musicians on the album "Blows Against the Empire." Kantner went on to reestablish Jefferson Starship in 1974 and remained a member for more than two decades. His significant musical contributions earned him induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.
