Jung Joon-young is a former South Korean singer, songwriter, actor, RJ, host, and television personality. He started hogging the limelight in 2012 when he became one of the finalists of a reality show called ‘Superstar K4.’ After receiving an overwhelming response for his musical performances in the reality show, he went on to release his first album titled ‘1st Mini Album,’ and won his first ‘Best Male Solo Artist’ award. His favorite musical genres are rock, soft rock, punk, garage rock, hard rock, etc. He has also appeared in other reality shows like ‘2 Days & 1 Night,’ ‘We Got Married,’ and ‘Radio Star.’ He made his film debut with ‘Love Forecast’ in 2015. He later became the lead vocalist in a rock band named ‘Drug Restaurant.’ The band released its first album ‘Escape to Hangover’ in 2015. He hosted the radio program ‘Jung Joon-young’s Simsimtapa’ in 2014 and received positive response from the audience. He once stated that Kurt Cobain’s performance on ‘MTV Unplugged’ inspired him to become a rock star. He retired from the entertainment industry in 2019 after getting involved in a sex scandal.
