Andy Rubin

Andy Rubin, an American computer programmer, entrepreneur, and venture capitalist, is best known for founding Android Inc. in 2003. The company was later acquired by Google. Rubin served as a Google vice president and played a key role in developing the Android operating system. In 2014, Rubin left Google amid allegations of sexual misconduct. He went on to co-found Playground Global and Essential Products, a mobile phone startup that ceased operations in 2020. Rubin has a notable history in the tech industry, having previously founded Danger Inc. and being honored with induction into the Wireless Hall of Fame in 2019.
