(Neuroscientist, Psychologist) Endel Tulving was a renowned experimental psychologist and cognitive neuroscientist known for his groundbreaking work on human memory. His research notably distinguished between semantic and episodic memory. Tulving held a professorship at the University of Toronto and later became the inaugural Anne and Max Tanenbaum Chair in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Rotman Research Institute. In recognition of his contributions, he was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2006.
