Description:
(Mathematician, Geneticist) George R. Price was an American population geneticist who formulated the Price equation in 1967. He made significant contributions to theoretical biology while working at the Galton Laboratory in London. Price rederived W.D. Hamilton's kin selection theory, introduced the concept of evolutionarily stable strategy with John Maynard Smith, and formalized Fisher's fundamental theorem of natural selection. Unfortunately, Price ended his own life due to depression related to health issues.
