Hans Münch

Description: (Physician)
Hans Wilhelm Münch, also known as The Good Man of Auschwitz, was a German Nazi Party member and SS physician at the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II. Despite his background, he gained recognition for his refusal to engage in mass killings and for creating methods to assist prisoners in their survival. After being acquitted of war crimes in 1947, he continued his medical practice in Germany. In his later life, he encountered legal challenges linked to promoting racial hatred, which were attributed to his Alzheimer's condition.
