Eddy Grant is a Guyanese-British musician renowned for his distinctive sound, blending various genres and incorporating socially-conscious themes into his music. He has successfully fused pop, British rock, soul, funk, reggae, electronic, African, and Latin music influences. Grant is credited with pioneering the "Ringbang" genre and was a key member of the racially diverse pop band, the Equals. His solo career boasts hits such as "I Don't Wanna Dance" and "Electric Avenue", the latter of which earned him a Grammy Award nomination.
