Taylor Dawes Goldsmith is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. He is best known as the frontman of the American folk–rock band 'Dawes.' Co-founded with his school friend and guitarist Blake Mills, as 'Simon Dawes,' the band was renamed after Blake left. Taylor and his younger brother then took charge and gave a new dimension to 'Dawes.' The band was primarily known for its folk–rock compositions, but Taylor introduced a unique blend of music and technology in their later releases. Taylor is gifted with the skill to turn a specific subject matter into poetry, which is evident in all of the band’s albums. He later joined the rock band 'Middle Brother' and the supergroup 'The New Basement Tapes.' Taylor has also collaborated with several other musicians and bands. He has also composed songs for the love of his life, Mandy Moore, whom he got acquainted with over social media. Mandy was a huge fan of 'Dawes' and regularly posted the band’s updates on her social-media accounts. She had also collaborated with Taylor in a few projects. Their relationship was heavily publicized over social media.
