Rick Parfitt, an English musician, was known for his role as a rhythm guitarist, singer, and songwriter in the rock band Status Quo. He joined the band in 1967 and played a significant part in their music for almost five decades. In addition to his work with Status Quo, Parfitt released a solo album in 1985 and occasionally collaborated with other bands. He temporarily retired in 2016 due to health issues and passed away later that year. A posthumous solo album titled "Over and Out" was released in 2018.
