Bob Wills was a prominent American Western swing musician, songwriter, and bandleader, earning the title of the King of Western Swing. In 1934, he founded the Texas Playboys and introduced jazz-inspired arrangements and a horn section to their sound. Their popularity soared in the 1940s with hits such as "Steel Guitar Rag" and "San Antonio Rose." Despite facing health issues, Wills continued to perform and produced successful tracks in the 1950s. His significant contributions to American music were acknowledged by inductions into the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
