Noel Redding, an English rock musician, gained fame as the bass player in the Jimi Hendrix Experience and later as the guitarist/singer for Fat Mattress. Following his time with these bands, he founded Road in the U.S. before moving to Ireland, where he co-founded the Noel Redding Band with Eric Bell. Despite stepping back from the music scene in the 1980s, Redding continued to perform locally. In 1992, he was honored with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his work with the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
