Lalo Schifrin, a versatile talent from Argentina and the United States, is a pianist, composer, arranger, and conductor recognized for his extensive contributions to the worlds of film and television starting in the 1950s. Fusing jazz and Latin American music styles with classical orchestrations, he has been honored with five Grammy Awards and has been a nominee for Oscars and Emmys. Some of Schifrin's most well-known works include the iconic themes from Mission: Impossible and Mannix, as well as scores for classic movies such as Cool Hand Luke, Bullitt, and Enter the Dragon. He also had a significant collaboration with Clint Eastwood on the Dirty Harry film series.
