(Former singer-songwriter and musician best recognized for his songs "Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone" and "Ain't Misbehaving".) Leon Redbone was a singer-songwriter and musician recognized for his jazz, blues, and Tin Pan Alley classics. Sporting his iconic Panama hat, dark sunglasses, and black tie, he made his debut on stage in Toronto during the early 1970s. Known for his guitar-playing prowess and comedic flair, Redbone often entertained audiences with jokes about alcohol and pretended to have authored works predating his time. He had a special affection for music from the Tin Pan Alley era (1890–1910) and lent his vocals to the theme song of the TV series Mr. Belvedere. Over the course of his career, he released 18 albums and made appearances in various acting and voice-over roles in both film and television.
