CJ McCollum is an American professional basketball player currently with the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA. He gained recognition for being named the NBA Most Improved Player during the 2015-16 season. McCollum played college basketball for the Lehigh Mountain Hawks and was highly successful, earning the Patriot League Player of the Year title twice. He was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in 2013 and eventually became a key player for the team, making a significant impact as a shooting guard. In 2021, he was elected president of the National Basketball Players Association before being traded to the Pelicans in 2022.
