Joey Ryan is a former American professional wrestler and promoter who is best known for founding Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) in Southern California. During his career, he achieved success by holding titles such as the PWG World Championship and PWG World Tag Team Championship. Ryan also competed in various wrestling promotions including Ring of Honor, Wrestling Society X, Major League Wrestling, and DDT Pro-Wrestling, where he held the Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship. He further showcased his talents in Lucha Underground, Impact Wrestling, and the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), where he became NWA World Tag Team Champion. In addition to his in-ring career, Ryan served as the head booker for NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood and was involved in promoting Bar Wrestling events.
