Art Buchwald

Arthur Buchwald, a celebrated American humorist, gained fame for his syndicated column in The Washington Post, which was renowned for its political satire. He began his career as a journalist in post-WWII Paris, writing "Paris After Dark" for the Paris Herald Tribune. Upon his return to the US in 1962, he continued writing his column and published several books. Buchwald was honored with the Pulitzer Prize for Outstanding Commentary in 1982 and was elected to the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters in 1991, among other prestigious awards.
