Richard Williams

Richard Williams was a celebrated Canadian-British animator, voice actor, and painter. He gained recognition as the animation director of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, for which he received two Academy Awards. Williams also directed the incomplete feature film The Thief and the Cobbler and won his first Academy Award for his short film A Christmas Carol. He was notable for his contributions to film title sequences and animation, working on projects like What's New Pussycat? and The Pink Panther. Williams is also the author of The Animator's Survival Kit, a comprehensive guide to animation techniques.
