(Cartoonist) Fujiko F. Fujio was a manga writing duo consisting of Hiroshi Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko. They began their professional career in 1951 and adopted the pseudonym Fujiko Fujio from 1953 until they parted ways in 1987 due to Fujimoto's illness. Known for their popular comedies such as Obake no Q-Tarō, Ninja Hattori-kun, Kaibutsu-kun, Perman, Kiteretsu Daihyakka, and the iconic Doraemon, their work was influenced by Osamu Tezuka and various international cartoons and comic books.
