(President of the Comoros from 2011 to 2016) Ikililou Dhoinine is a Comorian politician who served as President of the Comoros from 2011 to 2016. Prior to his presidency, he was the Vice-President of Comoros from 2006 to 2011. Dhoinine won the 2010 presidential election with a majority in the run-off election. He worked in the Ministry of Finance as the Vice-President in charge of Budget and Women's Entrepreneurship. Dhoinine, a pharmacist by training, is the first President of Comoros from the island of Mohéli. He focused on fighting corruption during his presidency, establishing initiatives for transparency.
