(Prime Minister) Henck Arron was a Surinamese politician who became the first Prime Minister of Suriname following its independence in 1975. He held this position from December 24, 1973, until February 25, 1980, representing the National Party of Suriname. Arron was ousted in a military coup led by Dési Bouterse but later pursued a career in banking. In 1987, he was elected as Vice President of Suriname and served until he was removed from office in another coup in 1990.
