(Politician, Educator) Nangolo Mbumba is a Namibian politician serving as the current president of Namibia. He has held various ministerial positions in the Namibian Government, including Agriculture, Water and Rural Development, Finance, Information and Broadcasting, Education, and Safety and Security. Mbumba is a member of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO) and served as the secretary-general of the party. He became the Vice-President of Namibia in 2018 and assumed the presidency following the death of Hage Geingob in 2024, stating that he would not seek election.
