Kim Campbell is a former Canadian politician, diplomat, lawyer, and writer who served as the 19th Prime Minister of Canada. She was the first and only female Prime Minister of Canada, holding office from June to November 1993. Campbell was also the first woman to serve as Minister of Justice and Minister of Defence in a NATO member state. Prior to her role as Prime Minister, she was elected to various positions in the British Columbia Legislative Assembly and the House of Commons of Canada.
