Talaat Pasha

Talaat Pasha, an Ottoman Young Turk activist and politician, effectively led the Ottoman Empire from 1913 to 1918. He chaired the Union and Progress Party, establishing a one-party rule and eventually becoming Grand Vizier. Talaat was instrumental in orchestrating the Armenian genocide and other ethnic purges while serving as Minister of Interior Affairs. His prominent role in the Committee of Union and Progress led to authoritarian dominance over the Ottoman administration until his exile and eventual passing in 1921.
