Yang Ti-liang

Sir Ti-liang Yang was a prominent Hong Kong judge who served as the Chief Justice of Hong Kong from 1988 to 1996, making him the only ethnic Chinese person to hold this position during British colonial rule. He later ran as a candidate in the 1996 Hong Kong Chief Executive election, served as a non-official member of the Executive Council, and focused on writing, teaching English, and hosting a radio program after retirement. Yang passed away in 2023 at the age of 93.
