Natalia Poklonskaya

Ukrainian-born Russian lawyer and politician Natalia Poklonskaya is the current Advisor to the Prosecutor General of Russia. Initially a Ukrainian prosecutor, she has worked in various Prosecutor's Offices and has even been an assistant district attorney. She has successfully prosecuted Bashmaki gang leader Ruvim Aronov. During the 2014 Russian annexation of Crimea, however, she was named the Prosecutor General of Crimea. Her good looks made her an internet sensation, and she was soon featured in manga and anime. However, she was soon declared a wanted criminal in Ukraine, for supporting the Crimean separatists. In 2016, she was named a Deputy of the State Duma of Russia. She then became the Russian Ambassador to Cape Verde. From February to June 2022, she was the Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo. However, after she publicly criticized Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, she was dismissed and named the Advisor to the Prosecutor General of Russia.
