Christopher Asher Wray is an American attorney who currently serves as the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He began his career as an Assistant United States Attorney before moving on to become the Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Criminal Division during the George W. Bush administration. Wray later worked as a litigation partner at the law firm King & Spalding. In 2017, he was nominated by President Donald Trump to replace James Comey as the Director of the FBI, a position he has held since August 2, 2017.
