Brett Kavanaugh

Brett Kavanaugh is an American jurist and lawyer, who has served as a judge of the ‘United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit’ and is the current associate justice of the ‘U.S. Supreme Court’ (since 2018). He has previously worked for the federal government, assisting in their legal activities. Under the George W. Bush administration, Kavanaugh served as the ‘White House’ staff secretary and was responsible for several judicial nominations and appointments. Bush nominated him to the ‘Circuit Court of Appeals’ in 2003, but the confirmation was delayed due to a debate over his partisanship. Kavanaugh has authored many landmark opinions concerning campaign finance laws and the president's authority over cross-border security and various administrative bodies. At the time of his nomination by President Donald Trump, Kavanaugh was accused of sexual misconduct, but the charges were eventually dropped.
