Franz Reichelt

Franz Karl Reichelt, a French tailor and inventor, was known as the "Flying Tailor" for his efforts to create a wearable parachute for aviators. Despite working on various prototypes, his designs were not successful. In 1912, Reichelt tragically jumped from the Eiffel Tower in an attempt to prove the effectiveness of his invention, resulting in his death.
