(Philologist) Nurit Peled-Elhanan is an Israeli professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, specializing in language and education. She is also a translator and activist. In 2001, she was a co-recipient of the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought. Peled-Elhanan is renowned for her work critiquing Israeli textbooks for their portrayal of Palestinians as anti-Palestinian. Additionally, she is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
