Laura Borràs i Castanyer is a Spanish philologist, academic, and politician from Catalonia. She has a background in Catalan philology, having studied at the University of Barcelona and later taught there. Borràs also served as director of the Institució de les Lletres Catalanes. Her political career includes membership in the Parliament of Catalonia and the Congress of Deputies, as well as serving as Minister of Culture of Catalonia. She was also President of the Parliament of Catalonia, but was suspended due to allegations of corruption.
